This is a 7.75x7.75x1.75 mild steel bearing block. The used in place of cast iron blocks because those explode when used.

Lol no. The watch got broke just pulling it off my locker to put it on. It fell face first straight to the ground and came up looking like that. Stupid slippery ass strap.

Did you have to machine the flip side to get rid of the little lip being held in the jaws in the first pic?

Actually it stands just above the vice j aws so no. First operation was drilling the bolt holes and the middle clearance hole for the tool. Second op is what you see here. Bored out middle first then did outer profile.
